Geologist. Here's my capsule biography on Examiner.com.

Vince Lamb is a community college science instructor in Southeast Michigan. He has been teaching science for more than 20 years, and has taught biology, astronomy, geology, and environmental science. He earned his Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Michigan, his M.S. in Geology from California State University, Northridge, and his B.S. in Geology from UCLA. He has been blogging on Daily Kos since 2008 and written for Drum Corps World, covering drum and bugle corps competitions since 1996. He is the world's expert in the fossil snails and clams of the tar pits of Rancho La Brea. That and $1.50 can get him a tall coffee at Starbucks.
Malacologists (people who study mollusks) aren't as common as entomologists, but we can be just as nutty. Combine my science geekiness with my being a drum corps person (hi) and sometimes the weirdness can be unbearable--for others. I rather enjoy it myself.

Oh, yes, and I love my job, too.
