Yes. More Star Wars. And you thought you'd finished with me.
Yeah, watched Episode III with Candice and David and Lisa (well, kind of with Lisa... she was on her computer) tonight. I forgot how INCREDIBLY RIDICULOUS it is. I mean, yeah, Star Wars is awesome and all... but there's a lot of inconsistencies and HAYDEN CHRISTENSON CAN NOT ACT. Srsly. Ugh. Plus there's a lot of ridiculous CGI (the people fighting... like Palpatine, lot of him), and actually, a lot of good stuff (Grievous, the stormtroopers, and Yoda to an extent).
And so the LJ search function isn't working in my journal, and I can't seem to find a post about going to see it... I know we went at 10:00 pm on the day it opened, and it was a school night, and it was awesome. And I remember thinking all these dorky things, some of which I remembered watching it again tonight (though my commentary tonight was MUCH more hilarious with my recent increase in knowledge of the realms of Star Wars), such as SUPER OBI-WAN. I could have SWORN I've blogged about that. Maybe not. *le sigh* (FYI, it's when Vader/Anakin sees him standing in Padme's ship. That pose.)
Also, David says he owns tons of the books, and that the library has them, too! Now I only need to figure out which one I got for my (tenth?) birthday (from Max and Kyle, along with a miniature supersoaker that was yellow with the obligatory orange tip and a dark blue water chamber, and also a pocket organizer for kids which I still own). I really wish I hadn't given it away. (But to be fair, at that point I had no idea what Star Wars nor Indiana Jones nor dorky things were. *THE HORROR* And I think I tried to read about the first chapter, just because it was about Leia... [yeah, still knew who she was... I think I've explained that before, I refuse to go into that again.]) But yeah, it was about Han and Leia, mostly, and I think right where the movies lead off and whatnot. So I've GOT to find it. I can still kind of picture the cover.
Anyway, I think that's all for tonight, I need sleep. Grr. Also, the couch I'm sitting on in the lobby smells like majorly spoiled milk and I feel as though I am about to puke. (At least in my stomach... I never really feel like I'm going to puke until I do.) It doesn't help that I'm STARVING. YARGH, DINNER.
Oh, man... that reminds me, sometime I need to post my list of synonyms for "vomit." Did you guys ever read The Time Warp Trio, specifically 2095? I need to get my hands on that book. It was totally my obsession in second grade, and it was totally awesomecakes. It's also the reason I have compiled a mental list of Synonyms for Vomit.
=D
