Oh yeah, band practice today, 6 to 9. It was so freakin' hot. A lot of people felt kind of sick. Anyway. At one point, the seniors got called in to try on uniforms, and we wasted as much time as humanly possible. We took time getting in line, finding hats, dressing, checking lengths, changing uniforms, checking again, undressing, hanging everything (buttons, zipper, snaps, buttons) on the wrong hanger, doing it again, checking glove sizes, waiting for the last people, and general screwiness...

It was fun. So, on my SLOW way out, Jessie and Kyle are coming in, and Jess turns to me and says, "Diane, they need you out there..." Apparently, not only was it my solo part, but people were kind of lost when I wasn't conducting. The pro? They're watching me! The con: can't they figure out what the met is for?!

So, we do a couple of runs, C to D etc., etc., and I turn around and Mike Parrott and Ash Wassenich are on the 50, back yardline, Mike in full uniform! Yay! So at our water break, we talked to them. I saw them walk off while we were marching, so I thought they left. All of a sudden, Chris freaks out, "Jacob is here!" and they were tlaking to him the whole time. Anyway.

So Jacob got tackled, and I told Josh he must not be grounded anymore (because apparently he was grounded for running his car off the road for conducting instead of driving...haha!). Yeah, that was practice. Fun times, as ALWAYS! (A lot of work [or not so much], but also a ton of fun!)

Well, as soon as Fisher and Mattie get online, we're writing the lyrics to our song, which I will so loving share with all of you. =^n.n^=
