I've never been particularly fond of comics, but I looooooooooooooooooooooooooove the movies now, and I have this strange sense of research completeness compulsion that means I just have to read EVERY back story so I can catch all the details and things. It probably doesn't help that the comics community is very "well if you don't read the comics you're not a true fan" even though it's interest in a completely different form of media. =/ Then again I know so much Star Wars extended universe crap just because of following Lucas' work for Indy stuff, it's ridiculous.
