I'm planning something for my faithful readers. Insight into me, and perhaps you, but you have to wait. I have to think, and edit, and decide how much I'm going to bare to the world. But no matter what, you can't say I'm not the person you thought I was. I've always been like this, even though I change. If you watch me carefully, you can't deny that I'm not who I pretend to be, that these romantic corners still lurk in my being.
So wait, and with patience comes understanding.
Please feel free to post any inspiration you feel I should look into. Anything. Books, quotes, facts, I WANT KNOWLEDGE.

1. What does your LJ nickname mean? mer=water (mermaid), but now it means more, since it links me eternally to band. cat=well...cat.
2. Elaborate on your icon photo. Random mouse picture because it was what I had available. Hitchhiker's guide one because I feel wiser when I think about it. A better, more self-expressive one to come.
3. Did you lie about your age anywhere on the net? Yes, when I wasn't 13 or 16 so I could get email accounts and such. I feel guilty but I didn't do it for illegal purposes so unfortunately, I have perhaps justified it in my own mind,
4. How many LJ friends do you have? Plenty. Share my friends! That's what they're for.
5. What is your current status? Of what? Mental health? Good, I suppose. Relationship? single, but it's not that simple. High school band status? soon-to-be-senior and brass captain, and enjoying every bit of marching.
6. What are you wearing right now? My pajamas.
7. What is life to you? I'm thinking about it. It's good, generally, but I'll talk more later.
8. What is love to you? Which kind? Right now... I don't know, and don't ask, for a while.
9. What kind of people do you hate most? I can't hate.
10. What type of people do you like most? People who are willing to be completely and utterly honest in word and action.
11. What makes you happy? Honesty and true freedom, because if they exist then I must one day be able to attain it myself.
12. Are you musically-inclined? Heck, yes! Do I look like some punk (or prep) kid who hates band nerds? I DON'T THINK SO!
13. What would you do if you woke up one morning and found out that the person you love most didn't exist, or was killed? I would feel sorry for the world for their loss, regardless of who that person is. But as the quote on the friedge says "...but Heaven has gained one great soul." And then there would be one more angelic song to guide me.
14. If you could go back in time and change ONE thing, what would you do? I...I don't know.
15. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day, what will you be? As cliche and perhaps overused as it may be, I truly would love to be a cat. But not ordinary cat, a mercat... which is NOT cliche.
16. Ever had a near-death experience? Perhaps. I'll rant more later.
17. Name ONE obvious personality quality you have. Confusion. It's obvious to me... but likely not anyone else. I'm a damn pretender and I force that smile on my face many days.

19. Are you happy today? No... I'm anxious, and confused, and angry at myself, and... anxious.
