This year I am definitely hating on it with all the fucking advertising (a week before Christmas! fuck you!) and utter douchetastic people I've had to deal with lately in that regard.

Yeah, today is my day to bitch.

First of all, this goes to UD... somebody here. How can you allow students to FIGHT--LITERALLY, BRAWL--for Dayton to Daytona tickets?! That is absolute BULLSHIT. I have seen people trampled by cleats before (XHS Marching Band--trampled by their own football team at homecoming in fall of 2002), and what I found out today is that the SGA allows students to PUSH, PUNCH, KICK, and otherwise MAIM eachother to get priority hotel rooms. What the FUCK.

Next thing on my list:

Styrofoam recyclables. Apparently, we can't recycle them in our MIXED recyclables bins on campus. And then what? Some campus group puts this huge display in the middle of Humanities Plaza telling us to recycle them. WHERE, YOU ASSHOLES?! I hate how much WASTE there is here, it's ridiculous.


And finally?

Woodwinds in drumcorps.

Yeah, you fuckin' heard me. George Hopkins and his crazy ideas are destroying drum corps. Upping numbers, not counting props people in those numbers, and HE WANTS TO INCLUDE MORE ELECTRONICS. You know, because your goddamn VOICEOVERS aren't enough abuse of amplification systems!

Basically, he wants to turn drum corps into BOA. And THAT, my friends, is complete and UTTER BULLSHIT.

Personally, I don't like the direction BOA is heading, but there are still some good bands out there. However, BOA is BOA and will be what it will be.

Drum Corps should NOT be marching band and to allow it to become so is an UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

I am absolutely FUMING right now. The electronics thing almost passed! I only tied, 10-10 votes in the second round. WHAT THE HELL.

I have nothing against woodwinds. I have nothing against BOA. But DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS is DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS and should remain so.

Should we change the rules of soccer to allow baseball players in? I don't think so. SO WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO CHANGE DCI?

OMFG, and then I forgot the part where none of my professors are responding about whether or not they'll write recommendations --due Wednesday!-- so I can do a semester at Chaminade next year. Argh!
