In real news, my Indiana Jones spoon is fucking rad.

Okay, in REAL real news, a while back when I was hunting for evidence (but not spoilers! The kind of stuff I mean is like the fact that their store and the spoon I got has ants on it. HMM, I WONDER WHY), I noticed that at the top of the frame on the official webpage there is a really weird looking head with three layers. (Ogres? I think I'm tired) Because the MacGuffin (supposedly, and also I hate that term) is a skull, I was like, hey, I wonder if that is going to have to do anything with the plot? (I am insane on details like that sometimes. Too many years of reading Hardy Boys novels)

Well, I don't know, it still might, but I doubt it, because the images are blatantly ripped right from this site and also if it were highly relevant to the skull I don't think they'd put it so centrally on the website. Or would they?! (Kind of anticlimactic, though.)

HOWEVER. Since I no longer support the theory that it's part of the plot, AND that the images appear to be 100% copypasta'd from that eMuseum website, I'm thinking some ethically questionable webdesigner might have taken those images figuring no one would notice or whatever. (Sadly, as evidenced in my engineering ethics class, there are too many people who don't give a damn about professional ethics.) I mean, I'm not saying they did, but with the way that LFL's lawyers hammer down on the slightest slightest thing (and I can back that up, but I'm not going to tell the story here), it just makes me think it would be such delicious irony.

Or maybe I should submit it to www.youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com? I don't want to be the one getting out bad press on Indy, though (and if it turned out they did have permission, then making myself look like a fool).

You know the guy who creates those "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them" shirts? Yeah. He's a total dickwad.

First of all, he has stolen (often almost DIRECTLY, as in tracing or the like) images from comics such as Purple Pussy and Lenore. Some he puts on t-shirts, some he SELLS IN GALLERIES FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I cannot make this shit up.

But besides that, none of his other stuff is too original either; old barely funny sayings or perverted jokes or racist comments or straight ripoffs from clipart (and who even knows if he bought the rights to use them!).

So what's so bad about it? Seriously, go look at his site, some of his "characters" are disgusting. He claims to be random and crazy, and that he doesn't read comics and his art just comes out of the craziness out of his head. Not just millions in t-shirt art, but FREAKING ART GALLERIES.

And you know what? He doesn't create his own art. He has lackeys whose stuff gets put on tees. He has lackeys whom he's now claiming submitted the copied toon as their own, so HE WENT AND TRACED IT TO SELL IN FINE ART GALLERIES. Right, that makes sense, right? Amirite?

But even then... when people first started noticing, he sent emails saying that the artist he ripped off was a furry pedophile--but get this IT WAS HIS AUTOREPLY. Meaning lots of people and even minors got it.

So, if his art alone doesn't gross you out, have I at least convinced you he's a freaking JERK?

Argh, I cannot express how much frustration I have. I hate plagiarists so much, but the worst part is, is that it looks like the original artist doesn't want the limelight and will accept a payment, rather than fighting a big fight.

So people have to fight Todd Goldman's crappy company, David & Goliath, and his Fred is Red othercompany at Target, instead. DON'T BUY THEIR SHIT. Not only is it offensive (bestiality, feces, racism... just to start. And if you don't believe me, I can show you proof), but this guy is a total loser.

I hope Disney kicks his fucking ass for ripping off School House Rock. And I hope that letter I shot off to Girl Scouts of the USA can sue him or using their name, I hope. I'm afraid he's changed too much for them to do anything, but DAMN, is he close. Girl Scouts, I'm hoping this is one case where it's NOT a waste you own too many copyrights on your stuff.
