So I've been sort of cleaning up/sorting old files and I came across old post material, whereupon I hypothesized that Robert Frost was secretly a Vogon. And more recently I put forth that Bruce Wayne is secretly Billy Joel.

And when I think about it, I go back to all the freakish doubles I know; Johnny, Jacob, Jingleheimerschmidt just kidding, my old physics prof that was Neil Sedaka's good twin, ET CETERA.

This is some crazy shit!

Apparently I am highly skilled at recognizing facial similarities but fuck all at remembering people's names, which, I believe, is because I know so many people and not only do I know them but I associate with them on a regular basis.

I tried to find that old Robert Frost entry and HOLY SHIT, I think it is time to lock some of my old entries! The writing is rather appalling and AS OF TODAY (I have not gone to bed I still consider it the thirtieth, mind you!) I have written five full years' worth of livejournal entries.

Happy fifth LJ birthday, me! :D

I hinted so hard to my mom once about that last cake. I never got it. lol

At least I can say this, I am very in tune with my writing voice, now. =) Now to just find my sketching style... =/

Also I think it is time to clean out my old tags, for fuck's sake... and retag old entries.

Well, they didn't get the shipment of laptops in. Boo.

However, I started working on my personal wiki today, which I am really excited about. I feel like I finally stumbled on a good way to organize reference links for myself, organize project notes, that sort of thing. I'm debating whether or not I want to include things that are personally important to me, sort of an extension of my blog, or just leave it for personal reference. I don't know... I mean, for example, mom and I were trying to remember all the words to Dr. Seuss' ABC's today (we used to have the whole thing memorized). Is that something I should build a page for? I mean, I don't need to know that, and there's not much else I could put there. So... I dunno.

Thoughts? Anyone else use a personal wiki to get organized?

I'm kind of addicted now, even though it's a pain in the ass to change visual things and there's no way to visually separate the table of contents from the rest of the page. Fnargl.

Also there's no complete way of organizing links by tags... But I can get pretty close. And if not, I can always throw some words in the description and search for them later, hopefully that should work.

So, not only is mercat a Spanish, and possibly Italian and Latin word, there is also a Scottish use of it called the Mercat Cross which is basically a pillar-ish thing that marked where the market was held in town. Read more! lol

And it appears to be an okay but crappy-looking bar in New York.

And an artists' production company...

WOAH, I'm 58th on Google. I've jumped a lot, but maybe because I'm posting more often and writing the word "mercat" more? 'Tis a possibility. (HAHAHA, my cached page is SO fucked up formatting-wise. Practically useless...)

Damn, my instructables username came up 68th! Thaaaat's kind of scary.

This mercat painting that kind of ticks me off because it reminds me too much of another artists' work, who did it first; (this is the other artist, but it's her other cats that it reminds me of)

a cute necklace I kind of want now;

an antique bookery;

Elfwood art; (somehow I've never seen that before)

AND MY FAVORITE PAGE ON THE INTERWEBS. I'm 90% sure I have that posted in my profile, along with Jess' art of THE Mercat, me. Haha, I'm a weirdo.

You know what this calls for? I think I need a logo of a mercat (catfish-ish style) on a big pillar. I think I would totally win, hands down.

Yes, this is a contest. I am the Mercat so I am the winnar.

Hah, so, the title of my last entry was "philosophetical" because I thought the entry was faintly philosophic and I like to make up words like that. (Lewis-Carroll-Jabberwockyish.) I googled it to see if it was a real word, and not only is it not, my journal entry is the first thing that comes up on google. Kind of scary! =D (Especially since my journal does not turn up very high at all on the list when you search for "mercat." It helps that it actually means something in Spanish and possibly Italian and Latin. Yeah.)

Also, I might (in fact, probably will) be friendslocking this in the next few days (what a hassle) because I'm going to set up blogs for my family so I can post to a community for them and stay in touch better in Hawaii.

For a going-away present Aunt Dawn and Uncle Steve and Kyle and Max got me an Off the Beaten Path: Hawaii book, which looks AWESOME. And then gramps said he wanted to come out to Hawaii and that we should go to New York over the summer. =^n.n^= I like talking to him when Grandma isn't there because then she isn't harping on him; not that it's bad, it just makes him appear older, I think, because it seems as though he's completely forgotten anything to say. Which he hasn't, he's just gotten slower, and I don't mind that. So I don't think I can go to New York to the IndyGear summit (omg, don't ask...), but I might be able to make it to the museum show. We shall see! =D <3
