I had a dream I had to miss a week's worth of class work, and then woke up and remembered I have to figure out what's going to happen with final projects

I got an email saying my scenic design class isn't going to happen :(

And my sister got harassed by a guy on the street last night and got her phone stolen. Thankfully nothing else happened to her, but note to everyone, if someone you don't know asks to borrow your smartphone, just say you don't have one I guess? This is why I carry pepper spray with me everywhere now, especially since I don't have a car.

I just have this sense of... general patheticness and malaise. I feel like I've been hitting highs and lows kind of rapidly lately, but that could just be me being more perceptive since I have less social interaction.

I wish I knew how to deal with this.

Yeah, Casper actually does have an airport.

My sister and I just got back from seeing Bridesmaids. It was good, but it's not "the girls' version of the Hangover" like it was being billed. It's more of "the girl's version of I Love You, Man" which was supposed to be a chick flick for guys, but I wouldn't necessarily call it that. Anyway, it was good.

At one point they end up in Casper, Wyoming... but it was definitely not Casper. HAH.

Also-also, my sister pointed out they show Dayton in the center of the map in the Super 8 trailer... that's not Dayton, either. TOO MANY HILLS. That shit looks more like south Chillicothe.

This is what I do, I go to movies and bitch about details.

HAH.

(Also I got my grades back, I got a B- in Finite Elements?! So I guess that means I graduated successfully.)

I missed a few days worth of prompts, sorry. I've been looking at grad school stuff... I'm kind of intimidated :( I'm starting to think I should have done mechanical or computer science engineering or something like that, but five years ago I didn't have quite the same aspirations.

Mean Girls: is a fantastic movie. Fun to watch, amazingly quotable, aptly quotable on an everyday basis, and hilarious. Also, it's probably a good icon for women in comedy. I don't know much about the comedy forefront but I do know that it's considered a job where men flourish and women fail. And the guys I always get to watch this movie agree that it is not a chick flick like they expected, but a fantastic (and wonderfully quotable) comedy. So. We should all just stab Caesar!

I have a sister. She and I get on much better now that we don't see eachother much, but we do tend to snip at eachother if we're both home for a few days in eachother's company. We're strangely opposites, and I think the way we have turned out isn't exactly how I would have predicted it ten years ago. Then I would have said that she would turn out to be the sorority-sister arts major, and here I am in an engineering sorority and not wanting to engineer a damn thing (well, sort of). And she used to talk about starting a fashion company, and now she's pre-med. And I'm a nerd who loves to read, but she is probably smarter than me. Or she's just really good and guessing and BSing, which is both accurate and enough. I am a little too honest and a little too paranoid to be a good BSer. Which is a shame, really, because being an introvert in a world of extroverts is exhausting.

Buuuuut enough about that.

My favorite junk food... is probably Mountain Dew. I try to treat it like a dessert; one, because it has a lot of empty calories, two, because too much caffiene headaches gives me mini-migraine-mock-caffiene-withdrawal headaches and they suck balls.

BACK TO APPLYING TO GRAD SCHOOLS =/

(and waiting for it to be Thanksgiving so I can get excited about Christmas except I listened to the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy cover of Mr. Heatmiser today and I DON'T CARE)

We were talking about unusual phobias the other day and I couldn't think of anything that made me want to vomit upon sight/hearing. But here we are in philosophy talking about a party last weekend in which a bunch of guys were having a guy-party and, in order to keep girls out, were throwing beer cans at them and yelling "women were objects". I don't know about you, but I felt the floor drop of out of my stomach when I heard that.

Sometimes I feel like even though my sister and I are so different socially, she's smarter than me. She probably got better grades than me in high school because she had the drive to need a full-ride scholarship somewhere else, while I was okay going to UD. (I've only just started to be concerned about grad school; I don't even have a plan of attack. I can't even decide sustainable engineering and design versus working for Disney--my heart is in both.) I'm okay with getting kicked out of the honors program--there were no benefits, I didn't get any money out of it, and it was too much stress. But sometimes I feel like Laura has more determination to do what she does, whereas I am a procrastinator and take interest in everything so much so that I can't focus on one thing. I'm looking at electives for classes right now and the structural ones (my focus) sound miserable, while biology, mechanics, philosophy, circuits, psychology... Those sound interesting.

Bleh, I don't know. I've started looking at open source learning (like MIT lectures posted online and stuff) for things like philosophy or things I will never encounter (quantum mechanics! ~ooooooh~), but even if I absorb that I will never get a degree for that. Is it something you can still bring up when discussing a resume? (Where is my accent grave?! 'My resoom'.)

I'm glad my philosophy teacher has so much ethical hope for our generation because sometimes, I really don't. People make such dumb decisions in their personal time that I find it hard to believe they'll make good ethical decisions in business.

Man, after three years the art department guy finally gets back to me! Got damn.

Sorry, this post is very disjointed. I half-wrote it in class earlier as I pick up thoughts from both philosophy and surfing the internet, and then I come back x hours later and add more disjointedness...

Meh.

I am now totally into Dog the Bounty Hunter because of how much I miss Hawaii. They had Hawaiian Night at all the dining services areas tonight but the only legit thing on the menu was huli huli chicken. Fuck that, I want me some kalua pork and rice and poi! I've been craving garlic shrimp from the Haleiwa shrimp trucks for like two months now. (If I were Elvis, I would have already taken one night to fly out there and get some of the damn stuff.) However, I did find a crock-pot recipe for kalua pork so ooohmmmygooood I'm actually tempted to put a little effort into cooking because it's so damn delicious.

I like all sorts of pulled pork, apparently. (But not ham.)

Damn, I did like jack shit besides cleaning out my inbox. Oh, productivity.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I got spoiled on the 6th Harry Potter book because everyone had those dumb flashing icons and shit.

Laura told me the entire story of the Ring, but when I watched it it was still unique and awesome enough to be a good movie. She also told me the entire story of Signs, but that sucked when I watched it.

Does it count as spoiling yourself if you guess the ending? Probably not because I love to try to guess where the plot is going. Off the top of my head, two movies with "twists" that I guessed correctly were The Prestige and The Village. Both of which I recommend immensely.

I try not to spoil people on things; I try to explain enough that they get the understanding of it without the details, and if they think it would be shitty then I will end up telling them if they ask. But I don't spoil things intentionally, unless it's like a 30 year old movie that comes up in discussion. Here's a hint: Darth Vader is Luke's father, but Anakin was an emo so no one gives a shit anyhow :D

No, seriously, she does.

Well, okay, it's not brand new. '67 and it needs a lot of work, but she liked it. Sometimes... she is too dramatic for me, though. Her reaction to bringing that car around was a bit much. Then again, maybe I'm an ungrateful, spoiled child. Or I've been too bitter this year (which is true). Or I just don't see that reaction as legitimate... also probably true. Considering my reaction to things I like is usually over-excited jumping-up-and-down-ness. I dunno, Grandma's just kind of a drama queen.

OMG LAURA PICKED OUT HOLOGRAPHIC-SEQUINED CHUCKS FOR ME. I'M SO FUKKEN EXCITED YOU HAVE NO IDEA. NEW YEAR'S HERE I COME

In addition, my new opal, YAY, so I have a replacement ring so I have one fewer finger that feels naked. Plus, in the right light, it looks red and not blue. (It is probably the most gorgeous opal I've ever worn, ffs.)

That sweet antique-postal-box bank... And some Tortugas stuff (tie-dyed shirt, sweatshirt); a calendar (magnetic poetry!); ladybug earrings; I feel like I'm missing something. Oh, Laura and I got a shared copy of Beetle the Bard, but something else is missing...

Wow, how the heck did I come away with one and a half books for Christmas? Usually I have, like... a dozen. At least. Not that I'm complaining, I just can't remember that not happening for many years back.

Also I totally just got online because omg I did not get the #1 thing I asked for which was the Indiana Jones compeltely soundtracks! I mean honestly! D: (Lol, again, complaining facetiously.)

I finally feel all better, minus the Cough That Will Not Go Away (fuck you, sinus infection). More shopping tomorrow, paint for Laura's room and linens for me (Linens 'N' Things going out of business at the new year, fyi), also need to hit up Border's and a toy store. Two more stickers and I can get three limited edition crystal skull action figures with thrones! You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. I WANT THEM SO BADLY. I wish I could afford enough to have 13, lol. (I would need an entire German and a Russian army to get them, though. That is, of the figures they sell. WHY WON'T THEY RELEASE THE NEXT WAVES. I WANT TEMPLE AND CRUSADE FIGURES SO BADLYOHMYGODIAMSUCHANERD.)

OH. OH. I remembered what the other thing was. MOM GOT A ROOMBA! I am so geeked out, it's ridiculous. I want to make a Roomba cover. Dad saw you can hack them to sing midi songs. Some cats ride them around for fun.

I can't set up a poll, but I need your opinions; do we name it

>Rosie (dad's suggestion--you can guess why)
>Rupert (Laura's suggestion--she's been watching too much Family Guy)
>HAL 9000 (Laura's and my suggestion--I'm sorry, Dave, I can't vaccuum that)

For me, Rupert is right out. I'm leaning toward Rosie because midi isn't threatening enough for HAL and there isn't enough capability to fadingly sing Daisy as it works. (Or... shuts down. Or anything.)

SO YAY OMGROOMBA tell me your thoughts and let me know of any awesome Roomba shit you can think of. (If we had two, I'd make them joust. Possibly Roomba/Kitten joust.)

Wow, so today we went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.

If you ever go to Hawaii, DO IT. It's AMAZING. You see those movies of reefs with all the anemones and stuff, so you're kind of shocked that everything is so bleached when you first get in the water. But once you make it past the barrier, the water is colder and deeper, and a lot fewer people snorkel out there because the pull is stronger. But the coral starts to get color, and the fish are more numerous, and it's absolutely fucking nuts. It's gorgeous. I'm going to try my best to talk my mom and dad into going, because my mom hardly ever goes swimming anymore but it's not difficult. But she rides bikes, so as long as it we took it slow I think her back and her knee would be fine, I mean you get flippers. (My toes cramped a little, and my ankles hurt after a few hours, but it was TOTALLY worth it. If we go again I will invest in an underwater camera DEFINITELY.) I saw a good number of fish, stuff I remembered from that lagoon on the Big Island (which sucked because it was a manmade lagoon and was too shallow, so there was lots of sand that got stirred up and not many fish because there was no where to feed and it was too warm, but the turtles were cool except that you lost them if you weren't three feet away) like parrot fish and the humuhumukunukunupuapua'a (state fish of Hawaii!) and angelfish and just freaking EVERYTHING. It was amazing. The coral kind of looks all the same, until you look closer. It's amazing. And all these different types of urchins hiding in the rocks, too. I think I somehow scraped my knees on some rocks/coral without knowing?! Meh, it doesn't hurt. God, I can't get over how beautiful it is, it really is like going to a completely different world. I'm going to get some pictures up, but none of them are underwater. =(

Also, speaking of having a totally cracked out day, after we left Hanauma Bay and had our cookout on Ala Moana beach, we were laying out (napping yaaaay) while the people who went back with the van (we had to turn it in at three) came back on the bus. And guess what. They fucking ran into David Beckham. LOL. I wonder what I would have done if that were me. First of all, I hate soccer. Second of all, my roommates and I mercilessly make fun of that stupid underwear ad (Calvin Klein or something?) because there is a WALL-SIZED version of it at the Ala Moana mall, and it's so ridiculous. Third, for some reason I have it in my mind that he's a douche? But I don't know if that's actually something I read somewhere or I only thought that because I was half-asleep on the beach.

I have a feeling I would have given it a totally sarcastic face, especially because I am one of those people who believes in not freaking out when you meet celebrities, but treating them like normal human beings. (I have yet to put this into application, because the only celebrities I ever met were Maynard Ferguson [who was kind of being a douche] and Winnie the Pooh at Disneyworld, and I think I am perfectly justified in smiling like a dork at hugging Winnie the Pooh.) Also, I totally can't get this hilarious image out of my mind of him going to the Ala Moana mall and just laughing at that damn ad. I mean SERIOUSLY.

I'm kind of inclined to not believe them until they post pictures, so if they do I will swipe them and repost them for proof for you guys. (Haha, I am such a paranoia freak.)

Oh damn, my third thought after all that was that I kind of wish I had met him so I could send back photos to my sister and two cousins who all adore soccer. I am such an evil bastard sometimes.

Guess what, guys! 88 days until Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! 88 days! Yaaaaaay! Sorry, I get kind of excited because 88 is my lucky number, and always has been. (When I was little I used to think 88 was inifnity... I'm not really sure why. I mean, I could count to a hundred easily. I also quickly realized that I was born in 1988 and a piano has 88 keys and I thought that thinking it was inifnity was cute in a silly kind of way, so it became "my" number.) In celebration the image you see as my icon is also now my facebook photo. =D Today's trivia: I'm going to guess you all knew that the mine car chase from Temple of Doom was originally an idea for Raiders, and I already told you about the infamous swordsman fight scene. So how about another removed scene? When Indy escapes from the Bantu Wind onto the Nazi sub in order to follow the ark they have reclaimed, they obviously don't show him sneaking into the sub, as it would be a rather difficult thing to do. In a removed (I believe never filmed?) scene (shown in the comic books, however), Indy used his whip to tie himself to the sub (I think the periscope) and ride through the seas that way. Rather tiring, though, wouldn't you think? However, in actuality, most subs in that time (including the Nazi submarines) only traveled underwater when being sneaky. The rest of the time they traveled at the surface, so the scene was unnecessary as Indy probably wouldn't have had to worry about it. Also, the submarine used in Raiders is the same one used for the movie Das Boot, which was being filmed around the same time and saved the movie lots of money by not having to build their own model.

Also, we saw a sub today out at the Ala Moana beach. Crazy.

Happy New Year! And happy eighth day of Christmas, and happy year of Indiana Jones! This is the year of the Rat (ish... it doesn't technically start until February 7th), and many "International Year of"s including potato. So, there you go. Also, it is a leap year, there will be summer olympics, and I will actually have to pay attention to politics (blech) so I can vote for president. (woo!)

So today for New Year's we had a much smaller-than-usual family get together, which was good because it is a lot of stress on Grandma. But, it's sort of her own undoing because she insists on cooking EVERYTHING. But since it's us and my grandparents and my cousins we also exchange Christmas gifts. Laura and I now have a PS2, two guitar controllers, Guitar Hero III, and DDR SuperNOVA2 with one pad. (The DDR music sucks. I am sad. But it's still fun! =D Yay) Also grandma got me a bunch of stuff from my wishlist... except she got it from my Amazon wishlist, and not my christmas list. So all the stuff I wanted so I could have it in Hawaii to listen to and read? ...Yeah. I didn't get any of it. And I was so excited for it, too! Bah. Well, this means I must run to the bookstore and the like. Also we have to buy a memory card for the Playstation *sigh* and I have to see if I can find a used copy of GH II, because it has a better music selection. And Trogdor.

Max and Kyle really like their travel bags, which was good. Good for both college and traveling. I can't believe Kyle's going to Argentina for a year! That's nuts.

At dinner Grandma had Petit Fours that said "PEACE/JOY/HAPPINESS" so we rearragned the letters to say weird things like "CHEAP/JOSE/PA PINEYS" and "CHEAP/JOSE/PAY PENIS". Yeah. =P We're weird. I still feel so bummed for Grandpa, though. He's just so slow... and Grandma talks so much that Grandpa can't respond fast enough. Part of that is that he's always been quieter and she talks for him. But... I still get sad. At least he's working out more now, which is good. But I don't know if he'll get his mental agility back. Mom got him a sudoku book, so maybe that would help. *sigh*

I watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith last night as well as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The former is good, the latter is undestandably a failure. Awesome Nautilus, awesome costumes, good actors... very bad plotline and storytelling. Just do not waste your time, unless you need some steampunk inspiration. That's about all it's good for.

I think I will let my resolutions wait until tomorrow again. Though DDR means it will be easier for me to get exercise! Now just to find not-shitty DDR songs. =/ (Seriously, there are like three techno songs on there. The rest are slightly-changed pop songs, and they SUCK. A LOT.) You know what, though? The pad is non-slip. Yay! Which means no ductaping. Hooraaaaay!

Anyway... yeah. =/ Life is interesting.

On the eighth day of Christmas, the LJ gave to me--Aqua/Indy techno,

bearded singing nuns,
tiny kittens miaowing,
CHRISTMASYYYY MIIICHAEEEEL CRAWFOOOOOORD
Chicago and some children,
Straight No Chaser singing,
God Rest Ye lights a-blinking,
and a "happy holidays" so merry!

=D So, I came across that song the other day reading a forum post about "songs related to Indiana Jones." It sort of is, and though I hate Barbie Girl, I'm a sucker for techno. =)

Crap. I know I'll have more to post tomorrow. My brain's not working, I don't think... =/

I'm in Lebanon testing txtLj! Golden Lamb was delicious. Dinner had fallopian tubes and "prey on the weakened." Edit to explain later =)

[THE EDIT] So, here's what happened. My family traditionally goes to The Golden Lamb Inn every year for Christmas dinner. We couldn't go at the date we had before because my sister had to work, so we went tonight. They got rid of the relish plate for some reason--but thank god! Pickle relish, nor corn relish, nor pickled watermelon rind have any sort of claim on my appetite. Yeuch. Well, we got there and they had "sea bass" on the menu, and all of a sudden I could hear a voice in my brain say "sea bass." Very monotone, a general guy's voice, no funny accents or anything. I new there was a visual that went with it but I couldn't think what, and the fact that I couldn't place any sort of accent on the 'sound bite' (as it were) were really throwing me off. I asked dad if it was involved in some Monty Python sketch I was forgetting, but that wasn't it. About halfway through our salads I FINALLY remembered it was from Austin Powers, when Number Two is telling Dr. Evil they couldn't get sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads. =D I love those movies more than I probably should. (So right now I'm sort of doing a marathon, heeeee.) Well, I was right with the no accent part--Number Two is very monotone and whatnot. I also could only think of "agitated" and "angry" (the latter of which was in the title pre-edit) as the descriptors, but the movie puts them as "ill-tempered mutated sea bass." Well, I just like "ill-tempered" so that's what it shall be.

Then we were talking biology and fun stuff like balance and stuff, and Laura accidentally said "fallopian tubes" instead of "eustacian tubes." It was a good laugh. Later in the evening we were back to talking about Laura and school and college and stuff, and Grandma was kind of upset to hear about all the partying and stuff (we were joking about beer bongs, with dad, and directed at Grandma I believe... Laura was saying something sarcastic about getting her a bong to finish her coffee so we could leave, I think) and said, well, that's why you should go to UD. And mom and dad and Laura and I kind of laughed because, yeah, we all know. UD is a party school, face it. Even if it's a good Catholic Marianist college that will give you a good education. People still get drunk three nights a week. =/ Anyway, Laura responded sarcastically (as is her standard), "right, so I can pray on the weekends." And I'm not exactly sure how dad got there? We always make fun of Laura about being flirtatious with boys and stuff but he just commented on it as "prey on the weakened" and I had a good laugh.

And we found out James (Butler, her boyfriend) appreciates dad's humor, though Max and Kyle do not. So, he gets cool points in my book. =P (Man, when was the last time I mentioned cool points?!)

I'm kind of sad you can only do 160 characters with txtLJ--but at least it works! Now I know that I can pull off my resolution to post every day, if I decide to do that, and I would happen to not be able to post from a computer for a day. Whee!

Can you believe it's the 29th of December?! Where has '007 gone?!

So for the fifth day of Christmas I will post a FANTASTIC video I happened across by chance today. Someone gave Miss Shoup (my gradeschool music teacher, for anyone who doesn't know, which I think is most of you) a video of TSO's music that they had made. (Um, meaning, the one TSO had made.) Well, it looked dumb at first but then it involved TWO ADORABLE LITTLE KITTENS. AWWW <3 My dad and I were both just doing stuff at our computer and he said, "hey, that sounds like the guy that did Phantom." And I was thinking, what? A guy sang in Phantom Regiment? I had no idea what he was talking about and was thoroughly confused. AND THEN I LOOKED UP AND SAW MICHAEL CRAWFORD AND IT MADE MY DAY.

On the fifth day of Christmas, the LJ gave to me--CHRISTMASYYY MIIICHAEEEL CRAWFOOOOOORD!

(Or that could be "TSO Michael Crawford," too.)

Chicago and some children,
Straight No Chaser singing,
God Rest Ye lights a-blinking,

and then I found out Harrison Ford did or does pot occasionally and it made me very sad

So yesterday night I had this dream where I was in warmup with Southwind. We were in a really warm place and it was the whole brassline but it was a really small group of people. And it wasn't this summer, because there were some newbies, who were really annoying smartasses like Mickley was, except that all the ageouts from this summer were there, too. So anyway we were in rehearsal and this kid kept mouthing off, and we all sort of rolled our eyes. (Now that I think about it we were in a reverse arc, too. Weird.) And then Ivan showed up to teach us visuals, except that we didn't do any visual rehearsal. For some reason our trumpet tech from this summer was sort of teaching visuals on the side as well? And so for some reason we were getting ready to go on straight from that field and they handed us these blue tops with black pants and I guess we were supposed to put on these black pants. So for some reason I went off and ran to the bathroom to change (what?) and as I came out the hornline was in a block passing and Ox ran out of the guy's bathroom too so we just fell in line behind the block, and grandma and Barb and other people were standing by watching us. (The bathrooms were in this little breezeway entrance to the field which must have been in a hil or something... sort of like PA or AZ?) Anyway, then Ox and I realized that our uniforms were blue (which through the whole dream I was thinking "Blue for Bluecoats, but these aren't really the Bluecoats'" and then when I wa talking to my dad yesterday he mentioned Spirit of Atlanta, and yeah they were Spirit's unis from last summer. The baby blue ones with the (black?) sequin panel, only these had light blue sequins on the panel for some reason. ANYWAY.) but everyone else had the regular yellow SW unis on! Which I had to have a sort of double-take because Southwind wasn't fielding this year? And I thought maybe Bluecoats(/Spirit) was funding us but they wouldn't have let us wear our colors because we'd have to march for them as a junior corps...? So I started sort of freaking because I'm not the fastest uniform changer, so I ran back to the bus and grabbed my yellow jacket thinking they'd given us their old unis to wear the black pants, so I just took off the jacket. Then I realized that the yellow coat had my pants from this summer which fit me so well so I said "I guess not, that's sort of weird" and went ahead and changed into it and ran to catch back up. And I remember wondering if the visuals that Wilson had taught us were going to be in tonight, and for some relation to the show they were these GIGANTIC plastic dollar-store flip-phones. It was as big as my head! Anyway.

Huh, I remember before that dream I had a dream I was on a campus that was sort of UD's, but not really, and I was inside the KL-building except it was new and shiny and reminded me of the Indy mall, but whiter in design. (You could see all the way up to the top level where there was a glass roof, I think.) And I was back in high shool, sort of, and the whole building was kind of like walking around Carroll. So it was religion class time or volunteer time or something and I had run off to see these presenters and see if they needed help. They were in a room right off the atrium that had lots of windows and only one fully white wall, so I guess that people in the atrium could watch a class going on. So anyway I had skipped checking in with my teacher/prof and went straight here, and for some reason I was sort of in my SW uni and sort of in my SW corps jacket? And it was two guys from Santa Clara Vanguard giving the presentation. And so I was behind their table helping but they didn't really notice that I marched because for some reason my SW stuff was sort of invisible to them or something, and then my class came in and got bored after a few minutes so they left and I helped the guys bring all their stuff out to their truck down a back hallway (it sort of reminded me where we ate lunch down in Fairfield HS this summer).

Yeah, so I don't know why I had two dreams (though the latter written came first) about corps so much, I didn't have anything to do with corps the day beforehand, but usually I can figure out which parts of my dreams were just my brain processing which parts of my day.

And then last night I had a weird dream where a whole bunch of my schoolmates from St. Brigid were at this... hotel... except it was right next to the lake in Shawnee Park, sort of, and we were hsoting some sort of event. And we were all running back and forth between the table by the lake and our rooms sharing food and everything, and people wanted veggies (Ryan said something) so I told him my mom had made her broccoli-coleslaw-with-ramen-crunchies (because he wouldn't have known if I'd called it Wright Wride Salad) salad, and I opened this silvery pretzel-bag (like the ones that pretzel puzzle came in) and showed him the salad, which he didn't want, and I noticed it had tiny blueberries in it, too. (And I remember saying, "oh, there are blueberries in it.") And I remember they tasted surprisingly really good, but IRL I don't think they would at all. Anyway, so we're running back and forth and there was a lot of discussion over foods that I can't remember, but it came time for some festival which started by the school-style pool the hotel owned. So we went down there and were discussing this festival and how it was celebrated out in the country or something and then these guys ran off with really expensive jewelry we owned? Or something. And I told everyone they'd stolen my grandma's wedding ring and I chased after the guy, and I chased him out through the side turning-door and into the balcony-garden, where he sort of fell over a bush and gave up, sort of on purpose, and it really made me wonder why they were giving up. (Did they want a fight?) So I snatched the box and the ring from him (which looked really weird--the stone was two levels and very boxy) and sniped at him and then went back inside and asked Grandma if one ring had been hers, the boxy-stoned one, and it wasn't, and then inside the box was the real ring. And then after a while I had woken up and went back to sleep or whatnot and corps people were back in this weird park/facilities/campus place and we were sort of waiting to leave...? And Wilson was there again, and I said hi in passing or something, and I know there was more but I just can't remember it.

Man. I am trying to get better at remembering to write down all my dreams because I don't think I did it once all semester and I know I had lots of good ones and that makes me sad. ='(

I still have ones from this summer to write down, even! Need to do those.

I am really sad though, there's apparently some thing with Marcus theaters not playing Sweeney Todd? So I would have to drive to Newport to see it. =( And it's the next Paramount flick and they didn't release the trailer with I am Legend, and I REALLY think AND hope it's coming out with National Treasure (which I am seeing Thursday at 11:59 pm) because that's the right audience even though it's a Disney flick, I mean Disney owns Paramount so, honestly?! Argh. And I'm sad Paramount no longer owns Kings Island. Then there will be no Indiana Jones ride like was rumored, I will just have to keep riding Adventure Express though they won't play the music anymore--='( -- and Tomb Raider which what will they call it?! Argh.

So if the Indy IV trailer comes out with Sweeney Todd I'm going to be angry. If it doesn't come out with either Sweeney Todd OR National Treasure I think I'm going to flip my lid. Seriously The Dark Knight has their trailer out and they're seven months away! I understand Lucas and Spielberg want it to be a big secret but YOU'RE KILLING ME HERE. And you put the poster out this week and it looks so good so PLEASE!!!!! Grr.

And also, what do you think would be a good gift idea for my sister? She works at Hollister so she buys all the clothes she wants, and she didn't have any movies or CDs she wanted. I was thinking maybe a "boyfriend gift basket" since she and James have been going out more steadily and they rent movies a lot, so I'd put maybe Hollywood gift certificates and popcorn and some candy in it. But I don't know what she'd like! And I don't know if she'd think that was lame, or if she'd want something just for her rather than her AND James. =/ And my mom was telling me that Aunt Dawn told her that James had a crush on her for the longest time which I think is HILARIOUS because we've known the Butlers for almost as long as Max and Kyle have. Just one of those weird things about life, I guess.

Due to the fact that many of my friends follow Xanga, I update there more than here, but often with pointless posts just adressing issues or the like. Anyway, just this once I'm going to copy my post over to this blog; it was long and important and I don't want to rewrite it, with all the issues I covered. So, here we go:
"Wow, you guys left a lot of comments lately. Haha. Aaanyway, I kind of realized I like my othe blog more than Xanga because Xanga's protected entries can only be for 10 friends if you have a free acount, and that sucks.

So. An update. Visited the gradeschools today. Tell ya what. Best part of my day was learning how to conduct 3 versus 2 (for those who don't get it, 3 on one hand, 2 on the other). Yeah, so... life is kind of teh suck right now. I mean, I'm not depressed or anything it's just that there have been a million better times in my life than what's oging on right now. Argh, Grapes of Wrath, you spite me so!

What would be really sweet (only a daydream here, folks, not actually going through with it... I have a lot of "ideas" like that) is to just run away and live out west survival style. I think I could do it. It'd be tougher at first, but I'm smart and eventually I'd settle into it and just be happy. I just want to wander around for the reat of my life, learning. I think that's what I do best. I don't necessarily need other people, I'm fairly individualistic. Oh, understatement of my life... Anyway. I just need to get away. Somehow. Problens plague me that I know I can handle, I just don't want to. I've had to deal with them a million times before and I know I'll get through but I'm ready for soemthing new.

Maybe go with Operation Courage, haha... yeah right. Anyway.

In less important news that makes me feel awfully ashamed and egotistical, I am very pissed at (a person). I PLAYED WITH MEAGHAN, I PLAYED WITH THE DR. BEAT, I PLAYED WITH EDGAR, AND YOU CAN'T DECIDE WHETHER I'M SLOW OR FAST?! DID YOU NOT NOTICE THE ONE THING THAT IS MUY RAPIDO IS THE DRUMLINE, THE ONE BEAT KEEPING DEVICE I WAS NOT WITH OUT OF FOUR?! IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT THEY'RE TOLD TO NOT WATCH MEAGHAN BECAUSE "THEY'RE THE BEAT KEEPERS"?

Yeah. I needed to rant. Sorry to any drumline peeps out there, I'm not really mad at you, just (a person). If you feel insulted talk to me, I'll give you a hug or advice or something (*coughadvice#1watchmeaghancough*). Anyway. Rant done. Needed to vent. I apologize again and again if you think I'm a pompous egotistical prat, but I suppose fair is fair.

Grrrrrr....just grrr...OH MY GOD TOMORROW WE'RE PLAYING BOLERO! w00t

I had some other good news somewhere but I forgot it... I'm going to write up the Diagnosis Murder Themesong tomorrow... I learned how to do a flag toss and drop spin today and might be in Winterguard if Sou decides that me being gone for WGI percussion finals would not merit me being in winter perc... Um... ugh. Just UGH. Just GAH and ARGH and FRUSTRATION and CAPTIALLETTERSZOMGANGST. I feel... restless. But it's coming out as frustration, and therefore lots of emotion and crying and ARGH.

Yeah, so I still can't remember that random good news I had. Hum. I miss some people, the perky people. There's so much DRAMA now. I wish everyone was more like... happy friendly in person and kept drama to themselves. (That includes PDA, and some other types of good drama... yeah, hold hands, hug, but not much more. Thanks.)

I think I'm going to keep typing until I come up with what I was going to say. argh, that's not going to happen. My two cats are killing eachother in the other room... just kidding. In other news, I'm going to steal Domer's cat Jazz (yay for me liking cats).

I need a good stress reducer... (or restlessness reducer? maybe it's just the moolatte I had, with choclate. talk about caffiene. Maybe that's why I'm jumpy.) other than telling people my problems... because I am always paranoid that they're going to tell someone and get them spread all over or start being stressed out themselves about my problem and more argh.

I WANT TO TRAVEL! I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING, SOMETHING BIG! I WANT TO TAKE ON A BIG PROJECT OF MY OWN... but I have all ideas and no time, and not enough people or ideas to help out *le sigh*

Why am I so stressed? What the frick happened to me? Why am I so... restless? argh, argh, argh, argh, argh, and more argh.

(Randomness: A cheetah (or leopard? whatev) can jump higher than a kangaroo.)

What's his name and his gaxillion RVs (oh...yeah, his name is Tom Raper.) is sending 200 RVs to areas affected by Katrina, full of supplies, for families to keep FOR FREE. Talk about generous! If only more HUMOUNGOUSLY RICH people did stuff like this all the time, the world owuld be such a much sweeter place! I mean... wow. That's so the shiz. (Yay! Shiz! Wicked! w00t! ...gotta get me some green opera gloves, and a black dress. Yes, strange. But I'm like that.)

Lastly, Westy, why do you have Laura's skirt... AT HOME? (Seriously, the joke was funny, but I didn't think you were actually going to take the skirt home.)

*awkward* =^n.n^="

Update: Stress level significantly down. YAY.
Uh... yeah not much happened today. More updates later. =^n.n^=

(Oh, Domer left me a note on my Xanga saying that afer I hung out with his cat for a good two hours [the DCI thing], the cat is not crazy anymore, and I am now "The Cat Whisperer." Just thought I'd share that nerdiness. Haha.)
